TOKYO, Japan – The highest-ranking athletes from around the world are gathering in our home ground for the TotalEnergies BWF World Championships 2022. This prominent tournament will be held for the first time ever in Tokyo from August 22 – 28 with 47 nations participating.
The World Championships along with the summer Olympics offers the most ranking points for players on the BWF tour circuit. Many of these athletes are fighting to retain this prestigious title or reclaim it.
Top ranked participating athletes from across the globe include world No.1’s such as, unstoppable men’s singles Viktor Axelsen (DEN), dynamic men’s doubles pair Kevin S. Sukamuljo and Marcus F. Gideon (INA), resilient women’s singles Akane Yamaguchi (JPN), determined women’s doubles duo Jia Yi Fan and Chen Qing Chen (CHN) and inspiring mixed doubles pair Sapsiree Taerattanachai and Dechapol Puavaranukroh (THA). This incredible line-up also includes women’s singles Olympic gold medalist Chen Yu Fei (CHN) and many more.
This event promises more than impressive names and awe-inspiring matches, however. The new ARCSABER 7, with a release date of August 19th, will be featured on court in the hands of world No.1 mixed doubles athlete, Dechapol Puavaranukroh (THA). The new ARCSABER 7 is designed for optimal flex and torque to improve precision targeting for intermediate and advanced players. Taking control of the court can come in all different forms, and for the ARCSABER, it comes from the extra few milliseconds of shuttle contact time allowing assertive, precise shot-making.
